So, a little while ago I had decided to come up with Gods/Godesses/deities/whatevers. I wanter there to be a main seven, each one representing a deadly sin and a heavenly virtue, though I was also wondering if I should instead have twelve, each one being a zodiac. :/ Especially since each character is kind of getting some sort of representative animal. However, my Air/Wind Goddess is represented by the crow/raven/bird/falcon/something, and that's not in the zodiac. Dx
Anywho, here are my ideas so far:
Earth - Female - No name yet - No sin yet - Patience - Horse/Goat
Wind/Air - Female - Selu/Circe/may change - Envy - No virtue - Falcon/raven/crow
Fire - Possibly Male - No name - No sin - No virute
Water - Female - No Name - Lust - No virtue - Horse
Sun - Female - No Name - Pride - No virtue
Moon - Not sure of sex - No name - No sin - No virtue
And that's all I have.
I'm still wondering if I should split the sins and virtues and create "sides" to whatever plot problem there may be. Of course, it doesn't necessarily mean that Virtues would be on one side and Sins on the other. Mr. Wrath, whomever he may be, might be with the "bad guys" along with whosever Virtue is Humility or something. This is only assuming I'm splitting them. But that's too many characters, right? I think it's best off as the way it is now. I can play with the zodiac and such another day.
Also, the gender ratio is off. I wanted to keep it an even amount (with the main antagonist, the 8th character, a male in order to retain a 4/4 balance), but I don't know if I can. If the Moon is a guy he'd probably be a fag. x.x And I just CANNOT for the life of me draw guys. Period. Cannot.
I'm also trying to get a lot of ethnic backgrounds into this. I was thinking of using an Asian for Water, but that's a little generic, hm? Right now, Wind is a Native American and the Sun is going to be Middle-Eastern (probably Persian or something, wherever the gypsies came from). I have my Earth character drawn and waiting in my sketch book, but I'm not sure if I should make her white or Latina.
As for guys... That's even worse. With the limited ability I have of drawing guys, it'll be even harder to diversify them.
This makes me want to just go all-female but I know I shouldn't. Dx
I should have at least 2 guy Gods and a male antagonist, right? >.<
Otherwise, the boys might get loneleh. D:
